Last Han River drone show of 2026: 2,000 drones at Ttukseom, Oct 31, 8:30 pm
Seoul's last Han River drone light show of 2026 flies on Saturday, October 31, at Ttukseom Hangang Park. Korean media report about 2,000 drones, the largest show of the series so far, and viewing is free. Because it lands on Halloween night, the part worth planning is the trip in and out: which exit to use, and what to do if Jayang Station fills up.
The essentials
- What: 2026 Han River light show, drone light show (한강불빛공연 드론라이트쇼), final session of the year
- When: Saturday, October 31, 2026; program 19:30–21:15, drones 20:30–20:45
- Where: Waterside stage, Ttukseom Hangang Park (뚝섬한강공원 수변무대)
- Admission: Free, on site, no booking
- Nearest station: Jayang Station (자양역), Line 7, Exit 1
- Status: rain or strong wind can delay or cancel the show, and no backup date has been published. The city's guide still lists the theme as "to be announced"; the theme below comes from Korean media.
What it is
The drone show belongs to Seoul's Han River light performance series, with lit drones drawing shapes in the sky above the river. Financial News reported on October 25 that the seven shows held through October 9 drew about 197,000 people. The same outlet put foreign visitors at 34.6% of the audience across the five first-half shows.
For the finale, News1 reported on October 25 that the drones will stage a Marvel-themed show featuring characters such as Iron Man. If superheroes are not your thing, the light over the water is still the draw, and the whole flight lasts about 15 minutes.
What to expect on the night
- A full evening, a short show. According to the city guide, cultural performances run before and after the drones, so the flight sits in the middle of the program.
- No park Wi-Fi. Public Wi-Fi in the park is switched off from 12:00 to 21:30 on show day for safety. Download your map and agree on a meeting point with friends before you arrive.
- Halloween on the same night. Other parts of Seoul will have Halloween crowds too. If you plan to head on somewhere afterwards, our Halloween weekend safety note covers that side of the evening.
- More staff on site. The city is adding safety staff at the park, according to News1 and Financial News.
Admission and timing
There are no tickets to buy, so the only cost is your transit fare. Since the drones go up an hour into the program, you do not need to arrive for the 19:30 start to see the main event. The city asks visitors to check its official channels for any weather change before setting out.
How to get there (and home)
- By subway: take Line 7 to Jayang Station and use Exit 1, which the city recommends. Exits 2 and 3 may be restricted for safety.
- The Jayang catch: extra trains will run, but Financial News reported that trains may pass through Jayang without stopping if the station gets too crowded. Pick a backup station on your map app before you leave.
- Leave the car: the city warns of congestion and limited parking, and says cars in parking lots 3 and 4 may not be able to leave until 21:30.
- Plan the route: Naver Map or KakaoMap give Seoul transit routes; tap in with T-money or the Climate Card.
Our verdict
Go if you want a free, 15-minute spectacle without a ticket queue and do not mind a busy riverbank on a Saturday night. Skip it if you have a tight onward plan that night, because a non-stop train at Jayang could leave you walking to another station. The open question is the weather, so check the city's guide page on the afternoon of October 31.
