Korea In Motion: post-show extras at Nanta and Jump for visitors, to Nov 30

Reported 2026-10-15 / Posted 2026-10-16 · Compiled from Korean media reports · By

Korea's culture ministry and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) began Korea In Motion on October 16, a performance campaign for foreign visitors running until November 30, 2026. It pairs show deals sold through online travel agencies with hands-on extras after non-verbal shows such as Nanta and Jump, plus AI caption glasses for shows with dialogue.

The essentials

  • What. A campaign that promotes stage shows to foreign visitors, run with the Korea Performing Arts Tourism Association.
  • When. October 16 to November 30, 2026.
  • Showcases. HiKR Ground outdoor yard, Jung-gu, Seoul: Oct 17–18 and Oct 24–25.
  • Booths. HiKR Ground and the Daehak-ro area, through Oct 29.
  • Status: the October 15 reports give no discount rates, no names of the travel agencies taking part, no showcase times, no word on admission to the showcases and no list of caption-glasses languages.

What it is

According to Hankyung, Financial News and Energy Economy (all October 15), the campaign presents non-verbal shows, musicals and plays as something to build a Korea trip around. Non-verbal shows tell their story through movement, sound and music, so they work without any Korean.

The ticket side runs as promotions with online travel agencies in six markets: China, Japan, Taiwan, the US, Hong Kong and Singapore. Energy Economy and Financial News say the shows are offered at a discount, but none of the three reports names a rate or a booking platform.

What you get after the show

Four shows add an activity for the audience once the curtain falls, per Hankyung and Financial News:

  • Painters. Make a marbling-art keepsake together with members of the cast.
  • Nanta. Make a souvenir from objects used on stage.
  • Jump. A taekwondo session after the show.
  • Youngjae Hanumhoe. Get hands-on with traditional Korean instruments.

The reports do not say whether every performance includes the activity or only tickets bought through the campaign, so ask when you book.

Showcases and caption glasses at HiKR Ground

KTO's HiKR Ground in Jung-gu hosts highlight showcases in its outdoor yard on two weekends: October 17–18 and October 24–25. The reports name two of the participating shows: Anarchist and Finding Kim Jong-wook.

Pop-up booths at HiKR Ground and around Daehak-ro run until October 29. They offer show information, events linked to the travel-agency promotions and a chance to try on the AI smart caption glasses.

Those glasses are meant for shows with spoken lines. A photo caption in Hankyung's report links them to the musical Inside Me. If you are counting on English captions, confirm that with the show first.

Tickets and booking

  • Where to look. If you live in one of the six markets, search your usual travel-booking app for Korea In Motion. No list of participating platforms has been published in the reports.
  • Before you pay. Confirm the date, the seat category and whether the post-show activity or caption glasses come with that ticket.
  • Resale. Skip tickets offered by strangers on social media; our K-pop ticket guide explains the risks.

Our verdict

For a first trip with little or no Korean, a non-verbal show with a post-show activity is the lowest-risk pick in the campaign. The story needs no dialogue, and the extra activity comes after it. If you are in Seoul on a showcase weekend, the HiKR Ground showcases let you sample shows before buying a ticket.

The caveat is that the money details are missing. Until a rate appears on a booking page, treat the discount as unconfirmed and compare it with the price at the show's own box office before you pay.
